In 2016, Florida State football revealed extensive upgrades to its facilities, including one of the most important additions — a new players’ lounge. Advent designed a warm, friendly space that boasts a theater, a game room and comfortable seating. Using Florida State iconography and brand colors, Advent created a relaxing atmosphere where student-athletes could spend time together and build relationships off the field. “It shows that the boosters and everybody took the time into getting this done for the team,” running back Dalvin Cook told Seminoles.com. “It shows that they’re looking out for us, so we need to look out for them. It means a lot to us so we’re going to keep working hard for them.” Players’ lounges have become a key trend in recruiting facilities as athletic programs aim to send a powerful message to recruits, families and players that they care about the athletes’ overall well-being on and off the field. “This gives us a reason to come up here and and hang out with teammates and build a bigger bond,” safety Derwin James told Seminoles.com. Advent has also designed players’ lounges for USC men and women athletes and Creighton basketball.
