New Conference New Look

How we helped

  • Brand Clarity
  • Visual Storytelling
  • Social Media Highlights

The Curb Event Center Arena on Belmont’s campus in Nashville is world renown for hosting the 2008 and 2020 U.S. Presidential Debates. But, for Bruins fans, it has been home to their Division I men’s and women’s basketball teams and Belmont’s volleyball program since 2003.

The 2022-2023 season was the Bruins’ debut in the Missouri Valley Conference. Belmont Athletics celebrated with a refresh to the space to usher in the new era and add to the already growing enthusiasm around the Belmont brand. Playing off the look and feel of the Crockett Center for Athletic Excellence, opened in 2021, storytelling and design for the Curb update centered around the bold red and blue. Nods to Nashville were added, along with a historical timeline of Belmont Athletics’ greatest moments and banners celebrating some of the Bruin greats.

The Process

  • Introduce membership into the Missouri Valley Conference
  • Infuse a sense of place—hometown of Nashville
  • Celebrate the variety of athletic programs utilizing the space
  • Maintain look conducive to multiple uses in the space
  • Utilized bold graphics that would be eye catching on television
  • Repurposed banners and historical markers in a fresh way
  • Maximized the Bruin logo in a sophisticated manner

The Solution

  • Hallway of greatest moments behind suites to tell the story of the growing programs
  • Oversized “BELMONT” lettering to bring color and modern feel
  • Featured oversized images of men’s basketball and women’s basketball and volleyballs
  • Incorporated social media tags and Instagrammable moments

Let’s build something meaningful together
