Introduction
For USC’s Fertitta Hall, the home of the Marshall School of Business, Advent created a space that blends the classic and the innovative. Inside this five-story, 102,000-square foot facility, USC is carrying out its mission to give students the tools to thrive in a globally interconnected world. Advent’s design reflects both USC’s tradition as one of the nation’s top business schools as well as its focus on technology-enhanced learning.
Bold colors, typefaces and rich textures create a classic feel in the common areas where students can study, work together and socialize. These retro elements coexist with the contemporary. Interactive displays on a wall honoring the Entrepreneurs Hall of Fame serve to recognize alumni, inspire current undergraduates and recruit prospective students. The breadth of Advent’s design reflects the scope of the ever-changing business world where established thoughts and ideas must always be applied in new ways.
